Welcome to the Sports Gambling Podcast Network’s Top DFS stacks article!! Each week of the NFL season, I will be breaking down the DraftKings main slate to bring you the top 10 DFS stacks.
“Stacks” in DFS can be defined as; playing two or more players from the same team in a single lineup. Stacking in DFS contests has become the predominant roster construction strategy, particularly for GPP tournaments, with various unique and creative ways to build stacks and maximize your scoring upside each week.
The most popular stacking options include the skinny stack, the double-stack, the run-back stack, the full-on game stack, and the running back paired with a defense stack.
The skinny stack is traditionally a quarterback paired with a skill position player. The double-stack includes the quarterback and two skilled position players. The run-back stacks usually consist of a quarterback and wide receiver from one team and an opposing wide receiver or running back.
A game stack can include up to five players from a single contest and a 3/2 or 4/1 team ratio, typically involving the quarterback. The running back stacked with defense is just that.
Each week the stacks in the top 10 will include a variety of these stacks based on the scoring upside and likelihood of cashing in GPP tournaments and cash games.

The Ravens rank dead last against the Wide Receiver position in fantasy. They’re giving up 56 points per game to wideouts. They’ve surrendered over 850 passing yards and five touchdowns in three games. The return of Marlon Humphrey was a step in the right direction last week, but the Buffalo Bills’ skill players are much better than the Patriots.
Josh Allen is the second leading Draft Kings scorer through the first three weeks. Stefon Diggs is the number one scoring Wide Receiver. The 52-point total is the highest of any game this weekend. FantasyPro’s writer Bo McBrayer loves Allen and Diggs this week as a high-end stacking option for GPP tournaments. There will be points and blood.
This is an expensive stack, especially if you run back stack Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews. He’s the most expensive Tight End on the slate this week. But his $7,100 price is very comparable to other wide receivers who are averaging around the same points per game. He is Lamar Jackson’s number one receiver on the team even though he’s a Tight End.
Andrew should see 8 to 10 targets this game including two to three Red Zone opportunities as well. 28 points in back-to-back performances give me confidence that his floor is safe.

James Robinson (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars
Jalen Hurts is the third leading passer in the NFL, behind only Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen. He is averaging one rushing touchdown per game and is the second leading rusher among Quarterbacks.
AJ Brown and Devonta Smith have helped elevate Jalen Hurts into a dual-threat quarterback, who can beat you with his arm or with his wheels. AJ Brown is quietly averaging 20 points per game and he’s yet to have a breakout signature performance in an Eagles uniform.
He’s very familiar with the Jacksonville Jaguars given his time in the AFC South division. Expect Brown to come out firing on all cylinders in this matchup. According to PFF, He has a top 3 matchup this week against the Jaguars cornerbacks. Hurts and Brown are Mike “Cash” Collins’s favorite stack of the week.
James Robinson has returned in spectacular fashion from a ruptured Achilles last December. Robinson is currently the third-highest-scoring running back on the DraftKings main slate this week and he’s priced down at only $6,400, making him a steal. I’m comfortable running this stack out in all GPP tournament formats.

Lamar Jackson has been completely electrifying through the first three games of the NFL season. He leads all NFL passers with 10 touchdowns and has added two more on the ground. Take away all of his rushing yards and he is still the fifth leading scoring Quarterback in fantasy this season. Jackson’s 37.3 points per game is 5.5 more than Josh Allen. Need I say more? Okay, I will.
Lamar Jackson’s production has been funneled into three primary offensive weapons, Mark Andrews Rashod Bateman, and Devin Duvernay. Stacking Lamar Jackson with any of these options makes sense, but Duvernay is the best value at only $4,100. He’s Jackson’s go-to guy in the red zone already earning three touchdowns in three games. The total for this game is 52 points and I expect this game to shoot over the total.
The best-skill position player on the Buffalo Bills is easily Stefon Diggs. Diggs leads the NFL with four touchdowns, 344 receiving yards, and 35 targets, and is second in receptions with 27. Diggs is the most expensive Wide Receiver on the Slate this week but I still expect him to be heavily rostered. Adding him to Lamar Jackson and Devin Duvernay run back stack allows you to differentiate yourself and gain some leverage on the field.

Mr. Unlimited, aka Russell Wilson, is looking to get right this week against the winless Las Vegas Raiders. Through the first two games of the season, the Bronco’s defense has carried the team to a 2-1 record. Due to a lack of production, all of the Broncos’ skill-position players are priced down this week including Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton. After a 20-point performance in Week 1, he’s come crashing back down to Earth scoring a combined 21 points the last two weeks. This week he gets right against a bad Raiders team.
Which Wide Receiver do we stack? Through the first three games of the season, Courtland Sutton has outproduced Jerry Jeudy 51 to 29 in DraftKings points. Sutton also has 12 more targets as well as 161 more receiving yards. He’s yet to find the end zone yet which means the “due theory” is definitely in play. Something is averaging over nine targets a game and should see plenty of action from Wilson.
On the other side of the ball, Davante Adams has 10 Red Zone targets through the first three weeks of the season, which is twice as many as any other player in the NFL. The threat is real every single game for him to catch two to three touchdowns. And we’ve known this for a long time this is not new news but we forget it is possible every single time. I don’t think he scores three touchdowns this week, but I do think he scores at least one and keeps the Raiders in this game. Lock and Load.

Aaron Rodgers may have found himself a real WR1 in Romeo Dobbs. Last week he muscled his way into the end zone against the vaunted Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary. All while getting mauled and destroyed at the goal line of course. It was impressive, so impressive that DraftKings hiked his price up to $4,100. You heard me right only $4,100 for the wide receiver 1 on the Green Bay Packers who is not injured right now like Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, or Christian Watson is.
On the Patriot side of the ball, they’ll be without Mac Jones in this matchup which means they’ll turn to Steny Hoyer, long-time congressman from the great state of Maryland, to lead them at Quarterback. I can see Bill Belichick handing the ball off 70 times in this game. Last week Rhamondre Stevenson broke out against the Baltimore Ravens and rushed for a touchdown, scoring 20 DraftKings points. Both he and Dameon Harris will see action as the Patriots’ lead back on Sunday. Harris is priced $100 more expensive at $5,300.

Jared Goff is a top 12 DraftKings Quarterback this season. Okay, sure he actually is the 12th ranked Quarterback at this moment with 57 DraftKings points. But through three games, he’s averaging close to 19 points per game. At only $5,900, he makes a great pay-down option this week if you want to Stack him with Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Speaking of St. Brown. In four games without D’Andre Swift in the lineup, St. Brown has 46 targets, 35 catches for 340 yards, and has scored 3 touchdowns. He averages 22.5 DraftKings points per game as well. D’Andre Swift is likely to miss this matchup With a sprained shoulder and an injured ankle. St. Brown is battling his own ankle injury as well but initial reports are promising for him playing this weekend.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett is only $5,900 this week. I can’t believe this is the case given his recent production. Geno Smith has been peppering Lockett with 11 targets per game the last two weeks. He’s converted 9 of those into catches and is averaging 20 DraftKings points per game. He’s also currently the WR1 on the Seahawks. Don’t tell D.K. Metcalf that though he might break you in half. The Lions’ secondary is just dreadful, already giving up 530 yards and four passing touchdowns to opposing Wide Receivers.

Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns
Marcus Mariota has two rushing touchdowns through the first three weeks of the season and is averaging 18.4 DraftKings points per game. He’s one of RunTheSims.coms, favorite values at Quarterback, this week at only $5,600. With a 50-point total, Vegas thinks that both of these Offenses are going to put up points in this matchup. Mariota is a dual passing and rushing threat with 25 point upside.
Stacking Mariota with Falcons’ much-hyped Tight End Kyle Pitts at only $5,000 is a great value. The $10,600 combined cost allows you to pay up for DraftKings’ top Running Back point producer, Nick Chubb at $7,900. Chubb has forced more missed tackles than 30 other NFL teams combined. The man is a monster who found the end zone four times in the last two games. This game script looks explosive and has Chubb’s name written all over it.

Brandin Cooks (WR) Houston Texans
Justin Herbert is a grown-ass man playing through broken rib cartilage. I pulled a muscle trying to crack my back. And now I’m in traction. I’m using speech-to-text to write this whole article. Anyway, I digress. Herbert and the Chargers are optimistic that they will have Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Keenan Allen back this week against the Houston Texans. His presence would make a big difference for the whole Charger’s offense.
Austin Ekeler has underperformed through the first three weeks of the season, scoring only 43 DraftKings points and averaging 14.3 PPG. Not great for a Running Back that was being drafted at the 1.04 a few weeks back. I can’t go back in time and help you avoid drafting him too early, but I can help you capitalize on the terrible Houston Texans defense that just made Bears’ backup running back Khalil Herbert look like the second coming of “Sweetness” himself.
Ekeler and Brandin Cooks’s recent poor performances should drive rostership away from them this week, making them both great leverage plays in a game stack. Denny Carter of Rotoworld tweeted, “Brandin Cooks has 53 expected fantasy points, 13th highest among WRs. He has 29 actual points, the 58th highest. Not great!” Glass half full? There’s room for improvement! I think this is the game Cooks breaks double-digit points again. Hell, maybe even scores a touchdown.

Through the first three weeks of the NFL season, Joe Flacco leads all quarterbacks with 155 passing attempts. He’s fifth in the NFL with 901 passing and has thrown five touchdowns. If you ask me, it’s not bad for someone who was “Elite” not too long ago. The volume is going to be there and his Wide Receivers are all underpriced.
Elijah Moore is only $4,800. He makes a great stacking option with Flacco this week. Moore saw 10 targets in Week Three so you know the opportunity is going to be there in an offense that is forced to throw the football more than 50 times a game. Even though Wilson has outproduced Moore so far through three weeks, Moore has been on the field 90% of the time compared to only 57% of the time for Wilson.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide-out Diontae Johnson is averaging 11 targets per game. He’s yet to see the end zone, but he’s consistently scoring between 13-17 DraftKings points per game. The Steelers are 3.5-point favorites against the Jets, so they should need to throw the ball most of the game.
The New New York Jets have given up 466 passing yards and six touchdowns in three weeks. They give up on average two touchdowns to Wide Receivers per game. This is great news for this cheap Diontae Johnson run-back stack as well.

The Monday Night Football DraftKings Running Back discount continues with Saquon Barkley being priced at only $8,000. Barkley has looked like his old self, averaging six yards per carry, and running by defenders to the end zone. To coin a unique phrase he looks “Elite.” He’s only the fourth most expensive Running Back this week. he might be the most chalky as well, nonetheless he also will be in my lineup this week as well. he has a juicy matchup against a Bears defense that just gave up over 101 total yards and a touchdown to Houston Texans’ rookie Dameon Pierce.
The New York Giants on the other hand just gave up over 178 total yards and a score to the Dallas Cowboys Running Backs on Monday Night football. Khalil Herbert is coming off of a dominate 157-yard, two-touchdown rushing performance in relief of David Montgomery. Herbert is in line to start this Sunday if Montgomery’s ankle and knee injuries do not heal up quickly. The 38.5 total is the lowest on the afternoon slate of games. I expect this game to be heavy Running Back all day long.
